Local Shopping for the Syracuse Fan At Herb Philipson’s

It’s the most wonderful time of the year to buy local!

I have spent many-a-holiday-seasons working at one store or another at the mall, and here is what I know for a fact: Local stores do the holidays better Better attitudes, better service, and better products, and all that makes for a better shopping experience for you.

Buying local is a good thing, it creates jobs, boosts the local economy and strengthens community. If you haven’t jumped on the local shopping sleigh yet, it is time. And to make it easy for you I have been visiting my favorite shops to give you the inside scoop on local gift giving.

Chances are pretty good if you live in Upstate New York that you have a Syracuse Basketball Fan on your gift list . There are two things S.U. fans can’t  get enough of:

1. Trash talking Duke
2. Orange stuff

While I could help with the trash talking Duke, it doesn’t wrap well, and may not be appropriate around the christmas tree.

Orange gear however, does wrap well and is always a good idea.

From Syracuse hoodies, hats, t-shirts, socks,  and scarves, and everything in between, Syracuse fans have been making Orange the new black way before Netflix.

It takes a seriously Orange stocked store to keep the most dedicated ‘Cuse fans in orange and navy for the entire basketball season. That little rack of Syracuse stuff at the department store is just not going to cut it, and I know exactly where to find the best selection of #OrangeNation stuff around.

Herb Philipson’s is based in Rome NY, with 8 stores across Central and Upstate New York, they love Syracuse Basketball as much as we do. Check out the Syracuse section of any Herb’s store, it laughs at the little rack of ‘Cuse stuff you will find in the department store. Herb’s has everything, to keep you stylish and in orange all season.

No, I am not kidding.
