The Palmyra area is home to all sorts of trendy and unique shopping destinations, and The Smell Well Soap Shop is your local source for pampering bath and skincare products that make great gifts for your friends, family and even yourself.

Shannon Banfield and her mother Robin Petix have turned a horse farm in Palmyra into a bustling cottage industry, that offers a local shopping opportunity, and a chance to socialize and connect with other shoppers in a posh parlor area.

Smell Well Soaps is a small family operation situated just North of Hill Cumorah, that creates bath and beauty products that have aromatherapeutic properties and are good for you.

Smell Well Soaps specializes in 100% all-natural, locally handcrafted, raw goat milk soaps and body care products made with essential oils and butters for refreshing scents and soothing textures. All the soaps, creams, and scrubs and handcrafted at the homestead.

Robin has her finger on the pulse of what her customers are looking for, and Smell Well Soaps is constantly expanding product lines of favorite scents, and adding new products to meet customer’s needs. Much of the new product development is taken on by Shannon, and among her latest creations: goat’s milk-based dog soap called Scrub your Mutt, therapeutic muscle and joint rubs to ease aches and pains, bath bombs for effervescent aromatherapy soaks, and sugar scrubs, for exfoliating dry skin.

All the soaps and creams are handcrafted and handpacked in a dedicated soap making kitchen off their home, which also serves as a stylish shopping experience known as the “Soap Shopping Parlor”.

The Smell Well Soap Shop is open Saturdays and Sundays, Noon to 5 pm. Dec. 7-8, Dec. 14-15, Dec. 21-22. Stop in to check out all the fabulous scents, visit with the ladies, and enjoy free gift wrapping, and refreshments.

The ladies produce bath and body care products in 12 fragrances, in prices ranging from $5 TO $15.
