So we’re well into the Christmas season, and all the radio stations have been sprinkling Christmas music into their rotations. Generally, Christmas music helps me get into the holiday spirit, but to be entirely honest, I am a bit tired of Nat King Cole and Bing Crosby.
My cousin, who works at Wegmans, shared on Facebook she had been hearing The Winter Song by Eisley in her store, and absolutely loves the way the song is seasonal, but not one of the many songs that are oversaturating the radio air waves. After listening to the song I was inspired to find more non-traditional Christmas songs.
So I decided to put together my own Christmas Playlist.
I wanted to put together a more mellow playlist. Don’t get me wrong, I do appreciate the Faster-paced classics like “Jingle Bells”, but during an already hectic season, I wanted a playlist that is more relaxing, and has a slower paced mix. A lot of songs here by indie/folk artists, hence the Coffeehouse Christmas Playlist name, and yes some are traditional Christmas songs, but they are sung in a different tempo, or in a different arrangement.
My Non-Traditional Amazon Prime Christmas Playlist
I decided to create my playlist on Amazon, if you are a Prime member Prime Music is bundled with your membership for free, and you have access to over two million songs and you should have access to all the songs on my Playlist.
But it is worth noting, If you’re looking for a larger library with specific songs, it’s worth signing up for the monthly premium Unlimited tier. Amazon Unlimited Music boasts tens of millions of songs, including most new albums, and allows your family members to stream music simultaneously on multiple devices, we love Amazon Music Unlimited
