Homemade Rice Seasoning Mix

Ingredients

HERB SEASONING MIX:

  • 5 tbsp low or no sodium no msg beef bouillon granules
  • 3 tbsp dried parsley flakes
  • 2 tbsp dried minced onion
  • 2 tbsp dried soup greens optional
  • 4 tsp dried basil
  • 2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

TO PREPARE RICE:

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup uncooked long grain rice

Instructions

PREPARE THE SEASONING MIX:

  • In an airtight container, combine the all the dry ingredients. Store in a cool dry place for up to 1 year.

TO PREPARE RICE:

  • In a saucepan, bring water and 1 tablespoon of herb mix to a boil. Stir in rice. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
