5 of the Easiest Crochet Projects for Beginners

Sharing is caring!

Fall is the perfect time to dig into cozy crafts like crochet and sewing, and I am really looking forward to breaking out my hooks and creating some quick and easy home projects and gifts.

Last year I decided to teach myself how to crochet, and I have found so many super easy projects that I have easily been able to complete, even with my very limited knowledge. These 5 Crochet Projects are perfect for beginners, and many have video instructions so you don’t even need to know how to read a print crochet pattern.

Super Fast Scalloped Washcloth

This was my first ever crochet project, and I never get bored with it! The instructions are in video format so you can quickly make this washcloth/dishcloth without even knowing how to read a crochet pattern! This video from Knits and Bits features super clear demonstrations of each stitch.

Knotted Crochet Ear Warmer Pattern

Keep your ears warm with this cute headband from Rescued Paw Designs. This headband is perfect for beginner crocheters since it uses only one stitch (the half double crochet) throughout almost the entire crochet pattern!

Snowflake Christmas Ornament

Ornaments are quick to make, are great for using up small bits of yarn. These snowflake ornaments from Expression Fiber Arts also make great gifts for friends, family, and colleagues; tie one on to a gift for an elegant touch to the wrapping or add to a Christmas stocking
