Pumpkin Pie Spice Mix
In typical Upstate New York style the weather has been a bit bi-polar lately. Yesterday it was 90 degrees out, and today it is 65. Now I realize many were probably out soaking up what may have been the last hot day of summer yesterday, but I was parked in the AC day dreaming of chunky cable knit sweaters, apple cider and fall baking.
Fall will not officially be here for a couple of weeks, but I am ready for it and all the yummy baked goods of the season. I think first on my list of ‘to-bake’ is pumpkin something, maybe bread or cookies, so I went ahead and mixed up a fresh batch of Pumpkin Pie Spice Mix. It is super easy to mix up, and can be used in any recipe that calls for pumpkin pie spice. I really like to add my pumpkin pie spice mix to breads and cookies, and a pinch in winter squash recipes is delicious!
