Ahhh coffee, it makes mornings tolerable, and my to-do list achievable, and now the making the perfect cup of coffee at home is easier than ever with the BUNN HB Coffee Maker and my homemade sweet cream coffee creamer.
I have spent a lot of my life drinking coffee that in all honesty was not super great. I have also spent a significant amount of time trying to hide the fact that the coffee I was drinking was not the best with drizzles of flavoring, heavy store bought creamers and sweeteners. And when all else failed I would find myself at the local coffee shop, paying way too much for my caffeine fix.
I am not a fussy coffee drinker. I like my coffee freshly brewed, dark and rich, and not to cost an arm and a leg. Occasionally will I add sweet cream coffee creamer.
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 4 tbsp turbinado sugar
- Combine the sugar, vanilla, creamer, and milk in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer on the stove over medium-low heat, whisking constantly until it begins to steam slightly. Don’t bring it to a boil, because your creamer will curdle.
- Remove from heat, allow the creamer to cool, then store in the refrigerator. Feel free to adjust the amounts for stronger or sweeter flavors.
