Castle of Horrors-Rochester

The Castle of Horrors is the largest haunted house in Rochester, with approximately 40,000 square feet of themed rooms, corridors, and a labyrinth of passageways designed to scare. Wander through the same building as seen on SyFy Channel’s Ghost Hunters. Not recommended for children under 14.


Historic Palmyra’s famous Cemetery Walk- Palmyra

Historic Palmyra’s famous Cemetery Walk. Saturday! One night only – 3 shows. $16 per person, 2 for $24. Children $8 – must be accompanied by an adult. An amazing journey into the land of the dead. You won’t want to miss this.


Victor Parks and Recreation Tailgate Trick or Treat – Victor

ign up to give treats out of the trunk of your car. Decorate your vehicle and dress in costume. Children will Trick or Treat in the parking lot out of the vehicles. Prizes will be awarded for best decorated car and theme. James Cooke American Legion Post 931 will be hosting a Halloween Party in the lodge with pizza and drinks.

The Real Haunt- Lyons

Museum of Wayne County History is changing up the Haunted Jail into The Real Haunt! There will be ghostbusters on every floor with their equipment and residents are invited to become part of the investigation. There will also be a couple of psychics in the back room who will be on hand for readings. Tickets are $30 per person and must be purchased in advance.

Accessible Trick-or-Treat Halloween Event- Rochester

The Center for Disability Rights (CDR) will host their annual “Accessible Trick-or-Treat” Halloween event. For many children with physical or sensory disabilities, going door-to-door to trick-or-treat may be a challenge, if it is an option at all. CDR transforms our office space into a fun, safe and fully accessible “neighborhood.” In this environment, children with and without disabilities can come together and enjoy the best part of Halloween. We will be decorating most of our 22,000 square foot office and children can walk through and collect candy, play games to receive prizes, enjoy treats and more! This is a FREE event for children 10 and under. Adult supervision is required and costumes are strongly encouraged! This is a scent free event. Please contact us if you have a child older than 10 years of age with a disability that you feel is appropriate to attend this event.

Fall Into Canandaigua – Canandaigua

Fall Into Canandaigua is Family Halloween Fun in Downtown Canandaigua, NY with halloween activities like Pumpkin Carving, Horse Drawn Wagon Rides, Kids Costume Parade and Costume Contest, Pet Costume Parade and Contest, Musical Petting Zoo, Baking Contest, Face Painting and Henna, YMCA Jack-O-Lantern 5K, 10K & Kids Dash, and more.

GCVM Trick or Treating in the Village – Mumford

Kids will love all the Halloween fun, from collecting treats at the historic homes to roasting marshmallows, movies, and games inside and out. Highlights include Teal Pumpkin Project houses, face painting, and a whole car-free village for tricks and treats! Choose between Friday evening for nighttime fun, or Saturday for an earlier start to your adventures!

Gather the family, put on your best costume, and explore the historic village for treats. Twelve houses will be distributing different candies and toys, and visiting the Confectionery ($) will prove sweet too. Get your face painted and run off the sugar rush with groups games in the Meeting Center. Take a snack break with a classic Halloween film, or huddle up to the bonfire for fresh, roasted marshmallows and spooky seasonal tales!

Eastview Mall Super Saturday: Halloween Party- Victor

SPOOKTACULAR Super Saturday Halloween Party! Little Halloween ghosts and goblins will enjoy donuts, cider, live entertainment by the always entertaining Nik Lite, and trick-or-treating around the mall (at participating stores). The Halloween party starts in the Main Court at 11am and goes until 1pm.

Spooktacular – Family Halloween Party – Clifton Springs

Part of Main Street Clifton Springs is closed down in order to hold this community Halloween “party”. This Halloween-themed event features a hayride, haunted house (kid-friendly but adult scary), games, pumpkin decorating, cupcakes and candy from downtown merchants. Come out for the costume contest.

Tots Halloween Party and Family Halloween Fun at Rochester Museum of Play

Witches, princesses, and superheroes of all ages are welcome! Don a spooky or creative costume and come to the National Museum of Play at the Strong for two Halloween parties: one especially for preschoolers and another for children of all ages.

The littlest ghosts and goblins will enjoy safe indoor trick-or-treating at the museum’s Tots Halloween Party, Friday, October 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Meet storybook favorites such as Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella. Pick up a goody bag from Mother Goose and trick-or-treat for prizes. Dance to Halloween music, play games, and create fun crafts.

Everyone will enjoy the Family Halloween Party on Saturday, October 30, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Trick-or-treat with favorite storybook characters including Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, Amelia Bedelia, and Robin Hood. Join in the Monster Mash and dance to other Halloween-inspired tunes. Play Ring Toss, get a temporary tattoo at the Tattoo Parlor, and see yourself in silly fun-house mirrors. Make Halloween crafts and decorate your treat bag.

The Tots Halloween Party and Family Halloween Party are included with general museum admission fees.

Halloween at the Market- Rochester

For the fourth year the Public Market will host a free family bonus Halloween dress-up/trick-or-treat opportunity!

Visitors to Halloween at the Market will find the vendor sheds filled with dozens of community organizations and agencies that will host trick or treating, and also share valuable information about their programs and services!

Head to the Market for some good old fashioned Halloween fun and tradition—and also to connect community members with our outstanding community organizations.

In addition to the trick or treating, the event features the Rec on the Move mobile recreation center, hay rides, food vendors and stands, and more!
