Fall is finally here, and there is no better way to spend a weekend than visiting one of the great Pumpkin Patches in Wayne County NY!
Most of the local pumpkin farms offer a mix of pick-your-own pumpkins, or pre-priced pumpkins (by size or weight) and have a fun general fall festival atmosphere on the weekends. Many of these farms offer food, fall-themed playgrounds, tractor rides and, other activities –for an extra fee. Once you have your pumpkins picked out, don’t forget to check out the Fall Foliage Train Rides in the Finger Lakes area, and Halloween Events in the Rochester Area!

If your fall adventures take you to Lake Ontario, make sure to stop by Burnap’s in Sodus! During the Fall you can pick-your-own apples, and go pumpkin picking in the patch. When you are done picking your pumpkins check out their delicious selection of baked goods and let the kids feed the goats and farm animals, and play in the kids play area!

Visit G & S Orchards and pick-your-own apples in the orchard and pumpkins in the patch. If you are not wanting to pick your own shop the farm stand for already gathered from the field, prepicked produce that is available for sale. It’s important to note, this farm is cash only.

Located in the heart of apple country, Lagoner Farms doesn’t offer a you-pick pumpkin patch, but they do have a large display of prepicked pumpkins for you to peruse. Langoner farms also offers a large selection of apples, picked seasonal produce, gift shop, snacks, and refreshment stand, restrooms, picnic area, tractor-pulled hay rides, wagon rides.

Long Acre Farms is your go-to farm for fall fun in the Finger Lakes region! They may be best known for their amazing corn maze, but Long Acre Farms offers all sorts of fall family fun. Planning on spending the day, because there is a lot to do here! Long Acre serves up plenty of fall treats, from ice cream to fresh apple cider, to cider slushies & cider donuts, you are sure to find something to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Among the activities you will find on the 100-year-old family farm are pick your own pumpkin patch, wagon rides, a giant bounce pillow, panning for gems, feeding the goats, a playground and of course the massive corn maze! I have been frequenting the Apple Shed in Newark each fall for as long as I can remember. Nestled between drumlins in Newark, the Apple Shed is an ideal place to take the family apple picking. While they always have a large assortment of pre-picked pumpkins to choose from, they currently do not offer pick your own pumpkins in the field. The Apple Shed offers the largest selection of apples in the area, freshly made cider, made on the premises. Kids Play area, corn sandbox, farm animals, tractor-pulled orchard wagon rides, haunted house, are also available.
