The Ball® freshTECH Electric Water Bath Canner + Multicooker is no longer on flash sale, I hope you were able to get one if this sort of canner would be useful for you, both my best friend and I grabbed one and we will both be receiving it early this week. Because so many of my readers enjoy canning I am planning on doing a review of this after I use it a few times.
If you have struggled to find a canning set-up that works for you, cut yourself some slack and consider yourself lucky because the super popular Ball® freshTECH Electric Water Bath Canner + Multicooker is on sale today.
This year I decided to up my canning game (I have been pretty lazy about canning and freezing the past couple of years), but one of my biggest challenges with water bath canning has been finding a good set-up to actually hot water process the jars. I have a smooth top ceramic stove which isn’t good for canning. I tried the propane burner outside, which wasn’t convenient because I didn’t want to move my WHOLE process outside, and found myself hauling hot jars up and down stairs and trying to manage to separate cooking/processing locations (NOT FUN). Recently I started using a stockpot with a wire cake cooling rack as a diffuser, but I had a hard time maintaining the water level and not having scalding hot water splash all over my cooktop (NOT FUN AND DANGEROUS)
So, I was super excited when I saw Ball is having a flash sale on their freshTECH Electric Water Bath Canner + Multicooker, it is $75.99 down from the regular price of $129 (guys, this is even LOWER than what I paid for it during the last sale!). If you have been eyeing one of these now is the time to pick it up!
I ordered one and can not wait to get it, I am hoping it arrives in time to can some cherry pie filling next week!
I will probably write a quick review once I get it, but I am definitely going to share a recipe for CANNED Sour cherry pie filling once I can get my hands on some sour cherries!
